DICKINSON AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR 2021 GRANT CYCLE

 

The Dickinson Area Community Foundation (DACF) and its two affiliates, the Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation and the Norway Area Community Foundation, will be paying out a total of $385,290 in grants and scholarships for 2021.

Deadline for application submission to the Foundation is Friday, October 16, 2020. Grant funds will be awarded in the first quarter of 2021. Read Entire Press Release Here

Each year the grant cycle opens in early September with applications due in mid-October of the same year. Distribution of grant monies is during the first quarter of the following year.

Organizations which received Field of Interest (Community Funds) Grants in 2020 must complete the Grant Evaluation/Final Report by October 31, 2020 and turn it in to DACF.  

Both Field of Interest (Community Funds) and Mini Grants are available to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, agencies, or organizations that are affiliated with non-taxable organizations i.e. schools, churches, city governments located or servicing people in Dickinson County and surrounding Michigan and Wisconsin areas.

Civic Improvement grant funds are used for grant making to allow community leaders to invest time and energy to help our communities collaborate.
Community funds are established by donors to address issues/concerns in areas that are of specific interest to the donor. 
Grant funds for youth and senior tobacco related health issues and tobacco cessation and use prevention programs
Enhancement of National Resources within the region
Grant funds are used for projects in the area of theatrical, musical and performing arts
Prevention, primary physical health care, educational and other health related services
Funds are used to assist people in need and to prevent loss of homes
To provide grants to organizations to help with food for people in need
Dickinson Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) made up of local youth from the Iron Mountain and Kingsford area
