Field of Interest Grant Cycle and Application

The Field of Interest Grant Cycle is now open for 2026. These grants are awarded in Q1 of 2026. 

$92,900 is available for field of interest program grants during this grant cycle. 

The deadline to apply is October 24, 2025. To apply, download and complete the application form, then return the completed form and required documents to DACF.

2026 Field of Interest Grants

The following funds are available to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and agencies or organizations affiliated with non-taxable organizations (i.e., schools, churches, cities) located in or servicing people in the Dickinson County area and surrounding Michigan and Wisconsin areas.

New this year:
The MK & RJ Debelak Foodshare Fund 

Up to $10,000 available to established free food programs (free food banks, free meal programs, or similar) serving Dickinson County. Funds must be used exclusively for purchasing/acquiring food items. The minimum grant amount is $6,000. 

Civic Improvement Fund

$3,892 available for collaborative project(s) to benefit or serve the Iron Mountain, Kingsford, and Breitung Township communities. The Grant Committee includes a representative from each community.

Community Health Fund

$2,330 available for grants for youth and senior health-related programs (i.e., programs designed to reduce behavioral risk factors such as substance abuse, alcohol/binge drinking, smoking, and depression; and to encourage healthy activities).

Crystal Falls Community Project

$963 available to support charitable, educational, cultural, recreational, environmental or social welfare projects benefiting the Crystal Falls area.

Environmental Fund

$2,474 available for grants for projects that improve or create methods of enhancing natural resources in the region.

Fine Arts Fund

$2,515 available for grants for projects in the area of theatrical, musical, and performing arts. 

Forest Park Kellogg Youth Fund

$24,642 available for grants from the Crystal Falls Youth Advisory Council (YACs) for youth-related programs.

Healthcare Access Fund

$3,586 available for grants for programs involved in prevention, primary physical health care, educational, and other health related services.

Homeless Prevention Fund

$6,797 available for grants for programs that provide assistance to people in need to prevent loss of homes.

Hunger Fund

$2,539 available for grants to organizations that provide food to people in need.

Iron Mountain - Kingsford Kellogg Youth Fund

$24,129 available for grants from the Iron Mountain/Kingsford Youth Advisory Council (YACs) for youth-related programs.

Norway Affiliate Fund

$3,810 available to support programs in the Norway area.

Norway Kellogg Youth Fund

$3,422 available for grants from the Norway Youth Advisory Council (YACs) for youth-related programs.

Veterans Assistance Fund

$1,801 available for grants to non-profit organizations that support veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
